Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No—you only need to provide gender, date of birth, your health profile, whether you use tobacco, how much coverage you want, and your preferred term length. The quote engine accepts just these six inputs and returns rates from each carrier. Your name, email and full health history come into play only if you choose to apply.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
The rates shown reflect what each carrier quotes for the health category you selected. Your actual premium depends on the carrier's underwriting review, which can move you up, down or keep you in the same class. This site's quotes are estimates for comparison only, not a promise of cost or approval.
What happens when I click Apply?
After you pick a carrier and select Apply, you enter a secure application environment run by the carriers' platform, already filled with your answers. You may pause and return to finish it at any time, and you sign electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California agency (License 0B75129), handles the application itself.
Will I need a medical exam?
It varies by carrier, the coverage amount, and your health profile. Some carriers use accelerated underwriting to decide quickly for eligible applicants without an exam; others require one. Each quote displays whether an exam is required, possibly required, or not required for that specific product.
Is a longer term better?
A term should be chosen based on when your dependents or financial obligations need support: a remaining mortgage, young children at home, business debts. Longer terms mean higher monthly costs but lock in the rate for a longer period. Use the comparison tool to see how different terms affect your monthly payment.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The quote tool never collects contact information, we do not buy or sell visitor data, and we use privacy-first measurement with no cookies. Full details are on the privacy page, which lists exactly what gets collected and who can see it.
